Table Rock Lake Water Quality Inc. is partnering with the James River Basin Partnership to help educate people in the James River and Table Rock Lake Watersheds about the need to properly dispose of household wastewater and sewage. The Septic Tank Pumpout program gives a $50 incentive for rural residents and homeowners to increase the efficiency of their septic systems through regular maintenance. More than 1 million gallons of septic tank effluent has been pumped so far! People have also given great reviews on the educational aspect of the program, which will continue as long as there is interest, and need and funding sources.
The Table Rock Lake, James River pumpout program is a cooperative effort of the James River Basin Partnership Table Rock Lake Water Quality, Inc., the Missouri Department of Conservation, the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation and Bass Pro Shops.
