May 3rd—Shoreline Cleanup on Table Rock Lake. The main event organized by TRLWQ is postponed until September 27th, 2008 due to high lake levels. Volunteers needed to clean up litter and debris. Gloves and bags are provided. Call: 417-739-4100 

May 6-7-8th—Ripple Effect Low Impact Development Conference and Charett. Learn about low impact development techniques, exhibitor and education credits for architects and engineers. Register by calling: 417-836-6183.

May 24thBull Shoals Field Station Open house & Water Festival. FREE! 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Exhibits and activities for children and families! Will feature the Fantastic Fun River - Educational Exhibit and other games. Call: 417-836-5306

July 4th - Fire Burst 2008! on Wednesday, July 4th at 9:30 pm. Arrive early and dance to the music of What's Next? at 6 pm. There'll be plenty of parking north of the Kimberling City Bridge, The KC Shopping Center, Summer Fresh Supermarket and other designated sites. Fantastic fireworks over the lake! August 23 - Secchi Day on Beaver Lake  from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. headquartered at the Grand Pavilion at Prairie Creek on Beaver Lake near Rogers, Arkansas. We expect 400 plus people to participate in activities from testing sites all over the lake via crews in boats to participating in pontoon boat tours, building rain barrels, educational activities for K-12 and up, visiting exhibit booths about rain gardens, native plants, identifying birds, flora and fauna, boating safety etc., swimming and enjoying a free lunch of grilled burgers, hot dogs, and snacks. This event is conducted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Audubon Arkansas, and Beaver Water District.
